I desire that all women know joy as His daughters
Biblical Counseling With Mindy
As a teen, God gave me a heart to walk alongside sufferers, wanting to be able to give each woman life-changing words.
Not platitudes which minimize or deny the pain.
Not platitudes from psychology. Do psychologists have a true understanding of who she is as an image bearer of God? As an image bearer created to have fellowship with her Creator? Who has an Incarnate Savior who intercedes for her? Who has the presence of the Holy Spirit?
But, rather, words of true help and hope.
To lead her to the Man of Sorrows, the Shepherd of her soul. The Compassionate One whose love for her never ends and whose power on her behalf never fails.
Jesus, her only source for words of life, for meeting the One who is our living bread and living water, the resurrection and the life, is through the Scriptures.
As the Church is a “hospital for sinners, not a hotel for saints,” I counsel through my local congregation with the support of my elders. The leaders of your congregation are called to be the shepherds of your souls, so I will be encouraging you to be an active part of your church congregation.
As many women have undiagnosed underlying health conditions, I will encourage you to get a thorough medical exam. As I have certification as a Menopause Fitness Specialist, upon request I will encourage you in basic lifestyle practices to support your physical well-being. If you are seeking more focused health support, I have multiple connections in this community to whom I can provide direction.
All of my counseling is done through either:

About Mindy
After completing a communications degree and home educating our children, I pursued formal training for a biblical counseling certification. After I completed my certification (Association of Certified Biblical counselors), I continued my education through studying the Scriptures and further training oriented towards ministering to deeply suffering women.
My studies and own recent experience walking through the Valley of Shadow of Death have not only deepened my walk with Jesus, the Good Shepherd, but have also burdened my heart for the suffering. One of my greatest desires as a daughter of the Lord is for other women to know the joy of being his beloved daughters.
I’m an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Valparaiso, Florida, where I am involved in counseling and music ministries. As a grandmother, I have the pleasure of assisting my “grands” in homeschooling, music, poetry, and we’re always on the lookout for little visitors in my butterfly garden.
My Formative Training has included:
- Daughters of God
The “Daughters of God” has been key, a program developed for a missionary organization for women who minister to women who are being rescued from the sex trade in the Third World.
- Learning to Practice Lament
Key to my approach to biblical counseling, practicing lament has enabled me to be more honest, all the more transparent in my prayer life. Working with Mary Paas of Fallen Soldiers Ministries (see below) was a blessing in my spiritual formation.
- Suffering with physical limitations
Walking with Christ through my physical limitations and suffering caused me to know my Shepherd all the more deeply, rather than simply know about Him. I know the experience of being so very depleted that putting two sentences together seems almost like an impossibility.
